The Seventh WaveIssue 3: Where Do You Belong?
To celebrate the launch of our third issue, we hosted a viewing party on Aug. 21, 2016 for the closing ceremony to the 2016 Olympics. In the lead-up to the Games, questions about borders, boundaries, and belonging were hitting the international stage, as England was on the verge of exiting the United Nations and many Russian athletes were barred entry due to illegal substance abuse. We filmed the night, and at random moments throughout the celebration, we turned our theme and question around, asking individuals, “Where don’t you belong?”
