Joe McCarthy studied philosophy and comparative literature in New York and Paris. He currently lives in Brooklyn, where he is working on a novel and a collection of short stories. His fiction has appeared in Soon Quarterly and The Extraterrestrial Anthology. He is steadfastly against the actions of and ideologies espoused by the late Wisconsin senator of the same name.

Application fees: $20 (Please feel free to email us should this fee prevent you from submitting because of financial difficulties or otherwise.)

Location: Bainbridge Island, WA (Please note: selected residents must be able to attend all four days of the residency; if your schedule changes, please notify us immediately so we can offer the space to someone who is able to fully participate.)

**All expenses paid. You will only be responsible for your own transportation.**
