The Seventh Wave has grown with the support of a global community of writers, artists, and thinkers.

We care deeply about the issues we select, and work tirelessly to ensure that new and disparate voices are represented, acknowledged, and celebrated. We are committed to paying each and every contributor, and to providing an advertisement-free experience to our digital publication.

For the first two years, we funded The Seventh Wave out-of-pocket. Before asking anyone for financial support, we felt it was important to grow by necessity. To know how we value time, so we could make the most of out money. In our third year, we ran our first-ever fundraising campaign, raising $3,000 in three weeks. This enabled us to expand our annual residency program, which is the bedrock of what we do: create space of ideas, exchange, and conversation. Since then, we’ve continued to expand our community of support, hosting a $10,000 fundraiser last year, and being awarded a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission in 2019, which helped us take our residency program bicoastal.

As we continue to curate online and offline conversations tailored to the most pressing social issues of our times, we are forever grateful for the support from our communities near and far. You can always visit our Online Store, to see what sources of inspiration we are putting out into the world, or make a donation whenever you are able. We accept all forms of support: sharing our published pieces with your networks, introducing us to emerging artists and writers, helping us find venues for upcoming roundtable discussions and issue launches, giving us a social media shout-out, or even long-distance high-fives.

The Seventh Wave is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible. You’ll receive a donation receipt within a week of your contribution. Every little bit goes a long way. Thank you endlessly for your support.
