On the final day of the residency, we host a sunset soirée, showcasing the work of our residents alongside other writers, artists, and performers.

Taking place in front of the historic barn of Art at the Birches, the sunset soirée is a meeting ground for creatives, thought-provokers, and those who just love a good escape from the concrete borders of New York City.

While the main event centers around the performance of words — our residents will speak to (or read from) the work they created during the residency, all of which takes aim at “Power And,” our topic for Issue 8 — the soiree doubles as the annual celebration of our organization, and so you can expect good food, great drink, thoughtful beings, a not-so-silent auction, and live music.

On June 4, you’ll see detailed information about time, location, and how to RSVP. In the meantime, enjoy a few windows into last year’s hootenanny below. To see the full album of images, click here.
