Every July, on the final day of our Rhinebeck residency, we host a sunset soirée showcasing the work of our residents alongside other writers, artists, and performers.

For the past two years, we have welcomed fellow creative spirits from NYC and members of the local upstate community to join us at the historic barn of Art at the Birches for an afternoon of conversation, community, and creativity.

While the main event centers around the performance of words — our residents speak to (or read from) the work they created during the residency — the soirée also doubles as our annual summer celebration, with good food, great drink, thoughtful beings, a not-so-silent auction, and live music.

More information about our 2019 sunset soirée will be available in the spring to coincide with our call for applications for our fourth annual Rhinebeck residency.

Til then, enjoy a few windows into the last two years’ hootenannies below. To see the full album of images, click here for 2017 and here for 2018. We can’t wait to welcome you to our next soirée in July 2019.

Questions or concerns? Interested in sponsoring or partnering for our outdoor extravaganza? Just want to say “hey”? Feel free to reach out to us at any time, at info@seventhwavemag.com.
