Joyce Chen is a writer and editor originally hailing from Los Angeles. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing Nonfiction from The New School and a BA in Print Journalism and Psychology from USC. Much of her writing attempts to tussle with the intangibles of living — time, silence, and the space between things. She is one of the founders of The Seventh Wave and a fan of bodies of water.
Krista G. is a writer and editor with an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School where she was named winner of the 2015 New School Chapbook Award in Nonfiction. She volunteers as a mentor with Girls Write Now and the PEN Prison Writing Program and is a life coach at the Ali Forney Center.
Brett Rawson is a writer and runner from Seattle, WA. He has an MFA in Creative Writing Nonfiction from The New School and a BA in Economics from Whitman College. His writing investigates expectations of place, and he is genuinely interested in words that begin with un. He is one of the founders of The Seventh Wave. Zeina Abi Assy is a writer and media artist from Lebanon. She has an MFA in Creative Writing Nonfiction from The New School, and a BFA in Graphic Design from The American University of Beirut. In her work, she explores the intricate intersection between the personal and the global manifestation of culture, art, and politics. She works in the Interactive Programs at Tribeca Film Institute. And she is obsessed with the feeling of Beirut.
